"In the beginning, as it is today and always will be - there is but one Aiga Tupu/Ali'i Sili/Fa'a Tui/Fa'asuaga in the village of Fitiuta, and that is the Seat of the, GALEA'I. To use the words Paramount Chief in regards to the history, a le AFIOGA O GALEA'I, only takes away from the prestige & preeminence of Samoa's first Royal title. GALEA'I was the first of Samoa's AO titles. The honour and dignity of GALEA'I was bestowed upon Samoa by the polynesian - progenitor of our race, the ' TAGALOA/SA TAGALOA Regime. ' GALEA'I became KING of MANU'ATELE. The GALEA'I Kingship fathered the TUI MANU'A rule. In those days, there existed a dual - organisation between Fitiuta and Ta'u, with Fitiuta maintaining the prestige and majesty of the GOD, TAGALOA. To maintain the purity of the ROYAL FAMILY, under the instruction of the SA TAGALOA, GALEA'I was to pass from father to son. In order to achieve this, only a woman from Fitiuta can birth an heir to the title. But a child was born, fathered by GALEA'I, delivered by a women from the village of Ta'u. This broke the sacrity of the title. So, another AO title was bestowed by the ROYAL FAMILY of SA TAGALOA. To be given to the Son of GALEA'I, whom was to rule as his father did. That title became known to the pages of history, as the ' GREAT TUI MANU'A.' There have only been 2 ' AO ' titles in MANU'ATELE. These are the titles of GALEA'I and TUI MANU'A. Traditionally, they shared the highest rank of all titles in Manu'a, with the exception of the higher level of sacrity that GALEA'I holds, being that he is the foundation that the TUI MANU'A rule was built on. THERE IS NOT A PAGE IN SAMOAN HISTORY, THAT Tufele CAN CLING ON, TO VERIFY HIS BOGUS CLAIM THAT HE IS THE ONLY PARAMOUNT CHIEF OF FITIUTA. Tufele is not even an ' AO ' title. Therefore, not to be regarded as a paramount chief. The origins of Tufele start with the story of a drifter, from another island, who became a servant to one of Fitiuta's, aiga tufanua. One of Fitiuta's lower ranking families. Tufele today, is only part of the ' Faleifa, O le Alofi O Amoa, ' which consists of the Moa'ali'itele, Poumele, Tauili'ili and Tufele titles. All of them, lesser ranking than the GALEA'I. They serve as village council. Not as rulers. REMEMBER, as this is a vital page of Manu'an history, before it became the TUI MANU'A's, FALE'ULA TAU TAGATA..... i aso agamua, '' O LE FALE'ULA TAUAITU A LE PULEFANO LE NA MUA I AO, LE FETUAO ONA AO I AI SAMOA. Meaning, the Royal Dignity of the rest of Samoa, can be traced back to the Crown of Monarchial Samoa, which lies in MANU'A in the order of..... TAGALOA/SA TAGALOA, GALEA'I, TUI MANU'ATELE. This is the original structure to the Royalty of Samoa, which later branched out to establish the 6 AO titles of SAVAI'I, ( E FA'AMA'AI LE PELU O LE PULEONO I SALAFAI. ) The 4 Papa titles of UPOLU, ( TUI ATUA, TUI A'ANA, GATOAITELE and the VAETAMASOALI'I, ) had been established by PILI, whom descends from MANU'A. The Royal lineage of the ' KAMEHAMEHA ' rule, as told to historians by KING KALAKAUA, of HAWAI'I, finds HIGH CHIEF PILI, of SAMOA as their first KING. At the height of its power, the Empire/Confederacy of the TUI MANU'A/ITU MALO O MANU'ATELE's presence, and influence can be heard in the oral traditions of Western & Eastern Polynesia, and parts of Melanesia. Metaphorically speaking, the Grandfather of the TUI MANU'A's Royal Family, the TAGALOA, by the oral traditions of the rest of Polynesia ( TAHITIANS, MAORI, HAWAIIANS, etc., ) was worshipped as a GOD. As I stated earlier, the TAGALOA regime was the polynesian progenitor. They discovered and conquered new lands. Established political systems, and bred a people with Royal Blood. GALEA'I's honorifics/salutations ; Afio mai lau Afioga GALEA'I. O le na mua i AO. O le VAIMAGALO. O le TAMA'ITA'I o le AO. O le SE'ETALALUMA. O le ILAMUTU o puapuaga. Ma o ia fo'i, o le PULEFANO. So, remember Tufele - in Fitiuta, there is but one AFIOGA, and that is the ancient GALEA'I. I don't mind ambition, but don't use it to try and rewrite history. Malo lava le soifua." |
